Koda Pawzles is a photo puzzle game starring Koda, an Australian Shepherd. You never need an account to play. This page explains what we keep if you choose to sign in, and how to remove it.
If you don’t sign in
Your personal bests, settings and one saved game stay in your browser’s storage on your device. None of it is sent to us. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
What we store when you sign in
- Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Your progress: personal bests for each photo and difficulty, and your one saved game.
- Your sign-in sessions: one per device, with the IP address and browser it was started from, so a session can be recognised and ended.
- If you sign in with Google, a record of that link, including the sign-in tokens Google issues to us. We only ask Google for your name, email address and profile picture.
To keep the sign-in form from being abused, we also keep, for up to an hour, a count of the codes sent to each address (stored as a one-way code, not the address itself) and of requests from each IP address.
Why
Only to sign you in and to sync your progress between your devices. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it to advertise to you. We only email you the sign-in codes you ask for.
Where
Everything runs on Cloudflare: the game, the database that holds your account and progress, and the email that delivers your sign-in code. The sign-in page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you’re a person. If you choose Google, Google handles that part of the sign-in under its own privacy policy.
How long
Until you delete your account. A session ends after 60 days without use, and sign-in codes stop working after 10 minutes.
Cookies
Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. Your browser sends it only to kodapawzles.com, and we don’t use it for anything else. The cookie is marked so that scripts on our pages can’t read it, although signing in with an email code does pass the same sign-in token to the sign-in page once, which doesn’t keep it. Signing out removes the cookie.
Deleting your account
In the game, open Settings and choose Delete account. That removes your account, your sessions, any Google link and your synced progress from our database straight away. The personal bests saved in your browser stay on that device until you clear them.
